Toolkits and roadmaps
Jisc online learning benchmark toolkit

Jisc toolkit: supporting the digital experience of new students
Use these customisable toolkits to help you review, develop and communicate information that is key to the successful induction and onboarding of new students. The toolkits draw on the findings of our 2018-19 digital experience insights student survey (published March 2020).
This roadmap draws on the findings from our 2018 student digital experience insights survey for UK further and higher education. The roadmap helps student representatives to discuss and review specific aspects of the student experience in your organisation. It focuses on the digital environment for learning and how digital tools and resources are used to support learning in courses of study. It can be used to start conversations and contribute to improvements at your university or college. It updates our previous Jisc/NUS student experience benchmarking tool.
Data analysis reports
- Exploring the student digital experience: student, staff and organisational factors - this report focuses on the outcomes of multivariate statistical analysis of student and teacher survey data from the Jisc insights service (published March 2019)
- Using persona analysis to compare student social behaviours with institutional digital provision: a pilot study - this short report summarises the outcomes of a short pilot study to use Jisc student insights survey data to explore the social behavioural traits of students in relation to social aspects of institutional digital teaching, and other key student demographics.
